Folio, rebound in plain cloth, new endpapers, though one moir‚ endpaper retained in each volume, four decorated leaves (Familien Chronik) precede the title-page in volume 1, illust. with 230 full page b&w plates and decorative tailpieces, printed in double, continuously numbered columns (1236 Old Testament, 344 New Testament) with decorative dividers between columns. Corners a little bumped, some professional repairs to margins of (?previously frayed) pages not affecting any of the plates which are on stronger paper, several pages loose, foxing to first and last 50 pages or so, some scattered foxing throughout.
