During this period of 23 years this journal underwent a change in name (see title), a change in series (vols. 4 to 8 are Third Series, followed by vols. 1 to 18 of the Fourth Series), a change in format (from octavo to small quarto) and a change in number of issues per year (1955 to 1959, 6 issues p.a., 1960 to 1971, 12 issues p.a., and 1972 to 1977 only 4 issues p.a.). All items in good to very good/fine condition, a few of the earlier issues v. sl. yellowed with minor defects to the wrappers, some of the later issues with owners' names neatly on cover. All items profusely illustrated, the later ones in colour. Articles on livestock, grains and grasses, diseases and pests, farming machinery, the wine industry, trends and economics, conservation, etc etc....
